Dear Friends,

We’re back with some beautiful photos we’ve received over the past three months from the school in Twabuka and from Claudia Lubinda and her students in the Zwelopili neighborhood of Livingstone.

The start of 2024 was not easy in Zambia—and therefore not easy in Livingstone either—due to a cholera outbreak that affected the entire country, particularly the area around the capital, Lusaka. Schools therefore remained closed until mid-February, which is why we are attaching only two payment slips instead of the usual three. In addition to the epidemic, there has been a lack of rainfall, which has led to drought and difficulties in obtaining corn and other agricultural products.

That is why the school cafeteria project—which provides two meals a day to the school’s more than 300 students (and teachers) during school hours—is even more appreciated, and it is now more important than ever for us to convey a heartfelt thank you from the school principal, Ms. Reginah Jere Chipila and the entire Twabuka and Zwelopili community!!

Happy Easter to your families, with a hug from our friends—both big and small—in Zambia!
