Today was the last day of school in Twabuka, where a special Santa Claus paid a visit: our Kelly, who used part of the money sent last Wednesday to buy cookies, lollipops, and balloons for everyone, plus a little gift for our cooks. There were huge smiles and enthusiasm from everyone, along with a message prepared by the children together with their teachers to send us a big thank you. In response, I sent a message on behalf of all of us wishing them a Merry Christmas and reminding them that their friends from Rome (and beyond) are thinking of them, even from afar.
