Donation to the Lushomo Group Home
May 2, 2018
Dear friends,
While the school in Twabuka is still on break during these last weeks of April (it will reopen in mid-May), we received a donation of 2,500 euros, with instructions to send it to the Lushomo Family Home in Livingstone, which we promptly forwarded; we have attached proof of payment. The Lushom Family Home, a sister institution to the Lubasi Orphanage, provides shelter to girls who have been victims of abuse—sometimes within their own families—and who have reported their abusers and are currently testifying as victims in their respective trials. The girls live in a very poor but safe environment. Since 2012, we have been providing financial support to this facility to help cover the girls’ educational and other needs, and we are in constant contact with Mr. Rajan (a trustee of the home) and Sister Petroneldis, who runs it. Here is the payment statement
March 2018 Payment

Dear friends,
we have received photos of the daily lunch at the Twabuka school: the meal from the day before yesterday, for example, featured chicken that, according to a local (very tasty) recipe, is cooked in a peanut sauce. The school can sometimes afford to include an extra source of protein. This meal has been provided to more than 300 children every day for over two years, thanks to donations based on our friendship and word of mouth. Thank you all so much!!!
Here is a copy of the payment we made through our Kuseka non-profit organization’s account for 1,200 euros. With this money, we will support the project until April 13; then the school will close for a month, and we will carry out our next intervention (simultaneously with our American friends) on May 10.
February 2018 Payment
March 6, 2018
Dear friends,
continues to join forces with our friends across the ocean!
The group of tourists and friends who, during a vacation in Zambia, visited the school in Twabuka and grew fond of our project after seeing it in action on the ground, continues with enthusiasm: Here is the second donation, in the amount of $1,400 (equivalent to 1,132 euros), arriving from New Mexico. We immediately transferred this money to the school, rounding it up to 1,200 euros (here is the payment), and it is in addition to our previous “regular” payment of 1,200 euros made on February 22.
These funds will once again ensure that the school’s 338 students receive breakfast and lunch this month! The commitment is truly immense, but never has it been more true than now that unity (and mutual trust) is our strength.

Dear friends,
Please find attached the payment made to the school in Twabuka: thanks to all of you, the school cafeteria will remain open again this year, and the 332 children in Twabuka can attend school full-time.
Donation to the Lushomo Group Home
December 21, 2017
Dear friends,
Here you will find the transaction record for the 600-euro bank transfer sent to the Lushomo Children’s Home, where for years we have been supporting the girls and young women living there (currently eleven) who are under protection as witnesses in the trials against the people who abused them. It’s a form of support we’ve been providing consistently since 2012—sometimes small, sometimes larger—both to help cover the costs of education and living expenses, and to show our solidarity and offer a heartfelt Christmas greeting to this organization, which does such important work. Best regards, and thank you for your support, which makes all this possible!
